We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor to support our growing recruitment needs and to take ownership for the recruitment to day one candidate experience, ensuring that the recruitment process is not only speedy, accurate and cost effective but also is engaging for all candidates regardless of outcome. They will be responsible for delivering the full life cycle of recruitment and selection solutions to achieve business and recruitment objectives.

Main Activities and Responsibilities

Sourcing Candidates

• Implementing a direct sourcing recruitment approach
• Proactively source quality, diverse candidates using social media platforms
• Identifying, organising and initiating recruitment advertising activity through relevant media channels to generate prospective employees
• Assessing appropriate talent acquisition solutions according to the need, for example social sourcing, talent pooling etc.
• Networking and sourcing high calibre candidates building a diverse talent pipeline for live and future roles
• Working to create intern pipelines with identified university programs

Recruitment and Selection Support

• Work with the HR Manager and HR team to understand the needs of stakeholders and hiring managers, advising managers on appropriate tools to use and processes to follow
• Screen, interview and shortlist candidates for approved and upcoming roles if required
• Provide feedback to candidates after interviewing, ensuring candidate experience is kept as the highest of priorities
• Provide advice and guidance on selection methods and administer assessments / screens as required
• Partner with managers to interview if required

Recruitment Administration

• Identifying, organising and initiating recruitment advertising activity through relevant media channels to generate prospective employees
• Administer the Applicant Tracking System to ensure all recruitment activities are processed and recorded correctly. This includes advertising roles, acknowledging internal applicants, and progressing candidates through the recruitment process
• Liaising with the HR team to ensure that new starters are processed correctly
• Responding to any GDPR issues and queries in a timely and appropriate manner

Reporting and Analysis

• Track and report on recruitment data to provide meaningful information on which to base decisions, including cost and effectiveness monitoring
• Create a reporting dashboard that allows us to quickly pivot towards urgent needs
• Use data to support training and development interventions
• Use data to drive continuous improvement on key markers for talent acquisition

Talent Acquisition Advice and Guidance

• Analyse employee and recruitment trends; provide insights and ideas to ensure we maximise opportunity and limit risk
• Support managers to ensure the most appropriate recruitment methods are used
• Advise on recruitment trends and the most appropriate ways to maximise our recruitment spend
• Support development of our employer brand including identifying initiatives and working with the HR team and marketing to deliver these
• Support outreach activities such as talks, presentations, webinars etc. to build pipelines and suitable placements

General Knowledge and Technical Skills:

Essential:

• Fully proficient with MS Office
• Previous experience using an ATS, ideally Recruitee
• Proficient in using LinkedIn as a search tool
• Experienced in social media to boost recruitment
• Experienced in competency and strengths-based interviewing techniques

Required Education and Experience:

Essential:

• Graduate-level education
• In-house or agency recruitment experience – at least 2+ years proven experience sourcing and screening candidates
• Experience in the management of stakeholders – both internal and external
• Experience of implementing a range of attraction and selection methodologies, especially innovative sourcing solutions and competency-based interviewing techniques, across a diverse range of roles
• Proven experience managing multiple vacancies and deadlines at any given time
• Demonstrable experience of working in and enjoying a fast-paced environment
• Confident communication with stakeholders of all levels with the ability to advise, guide and train on recruitment best practices
• Ability to research and present meaningful data and reports

Desirable:

• Commercially minded and solution-focused
• Tech recruiting experience would be an advantage
• Research recruiting experience would also be an advantage

Location: This position is open to candidates based in England

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Hours: Full Time

Contract Type: 6 months
