Tribal Tech, LLC Hiring for Care Coordinator at Remote Full Time

As a Care Coordinator, you will have an opportunity to address the most pressing health and wellness needs in Native American communities. Through telehealth counseling services and crisis support, you will serve Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) school staff, students, and families. As part of our ambitious and passionate team supporting the BIE Behavioral Health and Wellness Program (BHWP), you will have a lasting impact on the mental health and wellness of Native American students.

The BIE BHWP provides culturally relevant, evidence-based, and trauma-informed behavioral health and wellness services for school staff, students, and families at all Bureau-funded institutions, including Bureau-operated schools, Tribally Controlled Schools, post-secondary institutions, and Tribal colleges and universities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with therapists about any identified symptoms and/or concerns regarding students.
• Assign therapists in a timely fashion.
• Assist with after-care plan to ensure students are receiving further supportive services, as needed.
• Train the school point of contact on referring students to counseling services.
• Handle and document any communication with the school’s point of contact and students.
• Safely manage client files and ensure the collection of non-identifying data on the frequency and content of counseling services and crisis support.
• Ensure that all required signed consents and other documents are properly received.
• Develop and continuously update resources in each state for student support.
• Attend all required staffing, meetings, and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health related field, such as social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy/counseling, or rehabilitation counseling; Master’s degree highly preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience, which includes working with the federal government.
• Knowledge of and experience working with the Native American and Alaska Native community highly preferred.
