Tribal Group Hiring for Software Tester Job at Nottingham, England Full Time

We are recruiting a Software Tester to join our growing Surveys and Benchmarking technical team where you will support the testing of a range of complex web-based applications.

As a Software Tester in this team, you will be accountable for the continuous improvement of the quality of these solutions to ensure our customer expectations are surpassed. Your key responsibilities are to:

• Own the design of manual tests to verify system function as defined by product specifications/descriptions, and create and execute non-functional tests as required
• Provide input into the design of user acceptance criteria & feedback on the suitability of software for release
• Understand and help develop the test plans for a workstream/release to incorporate risk, scope and prioritisation into story testing design and execution.
• Identify and suggest work practices which improve quality and efficiency in the software testing cycle
• Work with developers and analysts to understand impact analysis of new features/defect fixes
• Where applicable, assist in the creation of cross-team / discipline application and testing training documentation

As our Surveys and Benchmarking team grows, the opportunities for the successful candidate will continue to grow too. There will be particular focus on the following areas which would support your progress to Senior Software Tester:

• Input into the design, maintenance and roll out of the team’s testing strategy
• Automating testing processes in-line with the team’s automation roadmap
• Act as a mentor to coach less experienced colleagues
