Tribal Group Hiring for Backend Developer Job at Remote Full Time

Tribal are currently recruiting a Backend Developer to work as part of the Development team of Semestry (https://semestry.com/), part of Tribal’s product portfolio. Semestry design and build cloud scheduling and resource management solutions for the education sector.

The Role

We are looking for motivated developer who have proven commercial backend development experience and who are proactive problem solvers, take their own initiative, and who enjoy a diverse range work. You will not be a stranger to working in a code quality led environment where you’ll have been part of unit testing and code reviews.

Life at Semestry as a developer is varied and exciting, we operate Agile teams and we would like to hear from developers who have a proven track record of creating innovative solutions written with clean and quality code.

So what experience would we like to see from you?

You will be an experienced developer who has a few years of development under their belt and are comfortable analysing requirements and translating them into product specification in a timely fashion. You will not be a stranger to working in a code quality led environment where you’ll have been part of unit testing and code reviews whilst working with the following technologies:

• Experience with backend development and Object Oriented Programming- OOP

• Experience with PHP

• Strong experience and knowledge of MySQL

• Experience with GIT

• Experience with Web server technologies

• Some knowledge and understanding of AWS Hosting
