AMSP (Advanced Maths Support Programme) is a national programme which aims to increase participation in Core Maths, AS/A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and improve the teaching of these level 3 maths qualifications. The programme provides national support for teachers and students in state-funded schools and colleges in England.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide coordination and administrative support for a range of different activities within the Advanced Maths Support Programme (AMSP). This includes helping to achieve KPI’s, ensuring key stakeholders are happy and assisting the delivery of educational improvement services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide coordination and administration across a range of different activities within the AMSP including support for:

• Priority Areas

• Core Maths Specialist Leads Programme

• Area Coordinators

• Provide support to ensure that expenses and invoices are submitted and processed in a timely fashion.

• Generate and update project documentation.

• Ensure that project and administrative processes are documented in line with ISO9001.

• Collate information and data for reporting purposes.

• Coordinate the planning of meetings and events:

• Take minutes as requested

• Prepare action points and follow-up reminders.

• Prepare presentations and meeting packs, ensuring high quality.

• Book meeting rooms (internally and externally), servicing and setting up meetings as required (ordering and setting up A/V equipment, refreshments, lunches etc).

• Book hotel and travel arrangements as requested.

• Ensure that there are clear systems and processes in place to manage communications and support the delivery of the programme.

• Ensure that all archiving and confidential waste processing is undertaken in a timely fashion.

• Work with confidential data and ensure confidentiality is maintained.

• Adhere to all deadlines and contractual targets.

• Utilise technology to improve access, delivery and efficiency.

Provide cover for QAS team members during absence.

What You Can Bring:

• The ability to work independently, without direct supervision, with a professional and confidential approach and a drive for continuous improvement.

• Strong competence in Office 365, (Excel, Word etc) and customer/client databases (CRM).

• Excellent organisational, planning and written skills and attention to detail are also essential for this role.

• The ideal candidate will be confident at communicating verbally with people at all levels, as well as experience of working in business administration and experience of successfully meeting KPIs and working to tight deadlines.
