About the job

Reporting to the Managing Director you will supervise, consolidate, and analyse financials for the global Oil & Gas business as well as lead the day-to-day accounting activities for the UK legal entity.

Office location is in Hawarden.

You will be responsible for;

• Timely financial (legal & operational) reporting and a catalyst to driving financial performance within the business.
• Lead the day-to-day finance & accounting functions to meet short and long-term business objectives and ensure alignment with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
• Activities may include financial analysis and planning; reporting; credit control; accounts payable and receivable; inventory and costs control; and budgeting and forecasting. Hands-on finance tasks will be part of the activities. Contribute to building and implementing the strategic plan and decision-making at the Senior Management level.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of accounting policies, systems, and procedures in achieving strategic objectives. Review the organization’s financial reports to ensure they have been accurately prepared and present findings and recommendations for any improvement opportunity. Reports may include auditor and financial analyst reports; profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow, capital expenditure analysis; and regulatory reports and filings.
• Working with PA Finance manager on improving and harmonizing systems and processes in line with the broader group approach.

About the ideal candidate

• CA/CPA with at least 10 years of relevant professional, or equivalent, and proven experience, preferably in an international environment using IFRS.
• Possess effective leadership skills with a proven track record to engage and mentor individuals, teams, and organisations.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, and experience with dealing across multiple cultures and time zones
• Experienced user of MS Office software and hands on experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP or equivalent is highly preferable.
