TreeSisters Hiring for Head of Education Job at Remote Full Time

Salary: Starting at £43,000 per annum (FTE)
Working hours: 28 hours per week (Full-time)
Location: Home-based (UK)
Benefits: 32 days paid annual leave, including public holidays per annum (FTE), flexible working and TreeSisters operates a discretionary wellness scheme which currently offers six wellness days (FTE) pro-rata per annum.

About the Role

As Head of Education, you will play a pivotal role in fulfilling the organisation’s charitable object(s), which involves educating multiple groups, including our donor community, the businesses we work with, and the general public, about connecting with nature and the environment. You will lead our Education team, defining an overall Education Strategy and developing accompanying learning plans with materials that will increase knowledge and promote experiential learning around conservation, protecting inherent rights, rights-based conservation, adopting a biocultural approach and integrating nature-based principles into businesses.

Core accountabilities of the role

• Strategic Direction – You will demonstrate progressive thinking that aligns with nature’s principles to create and implement TreeSisters’ Education Strategy and create quality content that is customised for a variety of audiences. This includes delivering high-quality educational training to all team members and shaping the future with innovative ideas to engage and educate.
• Develop and implement educational content – You will develop and implement experienced-based learning strategies, produce materials and curate resources whilst customising content and tone for different audiences.
• Lead our Education department – You will have Line Management responsibilities for the small Education team, which include allocating priority work and projects, monitoring and developing performance objectives and managing team budgets. You will also oversee a group of contributors, which we hope to grow in the future.
• Build connections – You will focus on building strong relationships with all our stakeholders, including those in the reforestation sector, our partners, departments and teams. You will demonstrate an inspirational ability to listen and communicate respectfully and effectively with people from all walks of life. In addition, you will be a voice for the organisation, undertaking speaking and workshop engagements on behalf of the organisation and supporting its strategic objectives and desired impacts.
