POSITION SUMMARY

General Helpers may be required to move up and down stairs, bend, lift, carry items and pull wire. As a Machine Operator they are responsible for providing verification of the quality of the product being produced. General Helpers are required to work the shift rotation associated with the area where they are working.

Shift work is required, including days, afternoons, and nights. Weekends may be required as part of the shift rotation.

The work is physical, and is done in a heavy duty industrial manufacturing setting. Fitness and safety awareness is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operation of a forklift,

Production department housekeeping – sweeping, machine cleaning, shoveling, painting, vacuuming, etc.

Warehouse work – lifting up to 50 lbs.; moving up and down stairs, bending, lifting, and carrying items.

Assisting machine operators at a machine (lifting / moving product).

Previous lift truck experience a must, in a lift truck over 8k capacity.

Will also be required to operate Overhead Crane.

Experience using metal strapping and tools.

Must be able to take direction from Machine Operator and work independently.

Must be able to work 24/7 shifts.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous manufacturing experience in an industrial environment,

Ability to speak, read and write English, and

Must have steel-toed safety boots with non-slip sole.

General Helpers must have their own transportation to and from work to reliably attend work for all shifts. The position rate of pay is $19.73, and includes benefits. The position may also receive shift premiums. Shift work is required.
