8tree is hiring customer-facing Applications Engineers for its growing office in Dallas, Texas,

to serve our North American customer base.

Expect to work with talented, motivated, intense and supportive co-workers across our offices in the US, Germany and Malaysia.

Tasks

The Role

As an Applications Engineer at 8tree, you will own the technical relationship with prospective and existing customers. In this role you will serve as a critical technical bridge between the customer and 8tree. This involves anticipating, defining and delivering technical support to fulfill the needs of your customer’s applications. To be effective in your role, you will need to become a subject matter expert on 8tree’s technology and our customer industries.

Some Daily Responsibilities

• Demonstrate our products to prospective customers
• Perform testing for new problem statements
• Train customers on our products; tailor curriculum to customer needs
• Provide technical support to existing customers. This includes in-depth hardware & Software debugging to resolve technical issues
• Collate and review customer feedback with 8tree R&D team, to shape new features/product Ideas
• Cultivate strong relationships with technical counterparts at the customer
• Diligently document customer interactions
• Identify areas for improvement in 8tree’s products and services
• Attend tradeshows/conferences to broaden your understanding of the customer industries and to engage customers
• Do your utmost to ensure the success of 8tree’s customers

Requirements

• Strong computer skills and experience with engineering applications

• Extremely strong English communication skills (verbal and written), to describe technical topics so that they are easily understood

• 50%+ travel (scheduled in advance)

• US citizenship
• COVID-19 full vaccination – it is required for entry into Canada, and at most of our customer facilities

Nice-to-have

• Engineering degree (preferably aerospace, electrical, mechanical or relevant discipline)
• Experience in 3D measurement
• Experience in Aviation-MRO / Aerospace / Wind-Turbine / Automotive industries
