About the team and the role

The Financial & Operations Group delivers services to Treasury across a range of corporate areas including finance and administration, project management, corporate planning, and risk management.

The Financial & Operations Group provides leadership for strategies, structures and tools that promote a high-performance culture and a capable, change-ready workforce.

As a Finance Business Partner, your role is to contribute and assist in all management accounting functions of Treasury to ensure that budgeting, monthly reporting and forecasting requirements are met. You will also work with the broader finance team, to provide support as required to the Treasury financial accounting team and as required support other reporting entities also managed by Treasury Finance.

Essential Requirements

• Extensive skills and experience in management accounting including budgeting, forecasting, analysis
• Demonstrated ability of putting accounting into practice with journal preparation and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively to complete team deliverables
• High level interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
• Advanced Excel skills
• Attention to detail to ensure high level of data integrity
• Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and NSW Government accounting policies and practices
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce / Finance and/or related discipline
• CA or CPA qualifications with experience in commercial highly desirable.
