Treads West – Langley Hiring for Plant Manager at Langley, BC Full Time

Treads West – Langley is a retreading market leader servicing over 100 Commercial Tire Centers throughout British Columbia.

The Plant Manager will manage our Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) plant efficiently and effectively to retread medium truck, bus, and specialty tires. The successful candidate is responsible for recruiting and selecting associates capable of meeting or exceeding performance expectations and coordinating the training of team members. They will be responsible for production, maintenance, planning, and overall efficiency of plant operations while ensuring the highest level of quality in partnership with Michelin Total Quality Standards.

Responsibilities:
Lead your team to meet and exceed production goals.
Increase plant efficiencies and providing oversight on quality control of finished product.
Ensure all equipment and machines in plant are maintained properly in accordance with Michelin guidelines.
Maintain production schedules, control production, and control quality of production.
Administer company policies/processes/programs inclusive of discipline and dispute resolution.
In partnership with management act as a safety champion for all EH&S goals.
Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

Minimum Requirements:
2-5 years relevant leadership experience with a team of 15+ members.
3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 25 years of age.

Preferred Requirements:
Retread manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset.

Candidate Criteria:
Strong oral and written communication ability.
Commitment to enforce and follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Must be a self-starter and willing to take initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
