Travers Tool Co, Inc Hiring for A/P and A/R Specialist Job at Flushing, NY Full Time

The Accounting Specialist performs a variety of duties including billing, collection, follow up, payment and adjustment posting and customer service. In addition to cash applications and assisting AP as needed. This position analyzes and researches reason(s) for outstanding billed accounts on the Accounts Receivable file and seek collections.

Responsibilities:

· Performs detailed account reconciliations as needed to resolve complex disputed receivable issues.

· Processes credit applications; provides appropriate terms and credit limits.

· Performs collections account management with problematic clients, obtaining timely payments.

· Prepares weekly aging report and places delinquent accounts on hold; proactively communicates with clients to request payment and resolve disputed invoices.

· Negotiates payment on undisputed past due accounts.

· Monitors all accounts for possible bad debt write-off and proactively initiates credit limit reviews.

· Communicates status of account problems on a regular basis.

· Maintains credit history files; reviews and approves credit limits; responds to credit inquiries.

· Processes Accounts Payable invoices for payment

· Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; assists with discrepancy reconciliation.’
