Trant Looking for Senior Quantity Surveyor at WA14, Broadheath, Trafford Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our regional office in Altrincham, working on a variety of multi-discipline engineering projects comprising of civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering. The initial project the SQS would be responsible for, is a £10m contract in Manchester, using NEC 3 Option A and this would be based on site.

The role involves working as part of the commercial team but working very closely with the site project team and reporting to the Project Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Valuations / Monthly AfP’s
• Change Control / Compensation Events
• Subcontractor Procurement
• CVR’s
• Final Accounts
• Disputes and Claims
• Early Warnings
• Updating Risk Register
• Updating Opportunity Register
• Monthly Commercial Reporting
• Cash Flow Forecasts
• Subcontractor Payments

 Desired Skills / Background:

• HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or by experience

It is essential that you must have a background in working on a variety of engineering contracts and you will have strong negotiation and communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and you should have an excellent understanding of NEC3 ECC Option A.
