Director of Finance and Accounting – Healthcare

The Director of Finance is responsible for company-wide accounting, revenue cycle, operating and capital planning, as well as quarterly and annual earnings and cash flow forecasting. The Director of Finance will report directly to the CEO, and will have responsibility for the review of all major capital projects, monitoring of segment/business unit operating performance, direct finance support of corporate departments and various special projects. The position is also charged with developing presentations to corporate senior management regarding company financial performance.

The Director of Finance will partner with other leaders in the organization to perform financial planning and analysis activities, including CEO, VP of Operations, VP of HR, and other Clinical, Operational, Strategical, and Financial Support Team members. In this role the Director of Finance will participate in the completion of monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, annual 5-year plan, and other necessary reporting.

This position has tremendous upside potential as our organization is in major growth mode and is on a trajectory for nationwide exposure and possible public offering in 3-5 years. This position does require a knowledge of healthcare, especially that of the Medicare Risk Assessment space and knowledge of healthcare claims-based systems, health plans, and medical networks/IPAs. Expertise in Accounts Receivables oversight and execution is also a plus

Responsibilities :

• Perform overall Financial Planning and Analysis activities
• Prepare quarterly forecasts, annual operating plan (AOP) and annual 5-year plan, and present to Senior Leadership
• Oversee and assist with quarterly financial close process between partners and Accounting
• Report out monthly actuals activity compared to budget/forecast
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis or modeling for new initiatives/projects
• Become a valued finance partner for the team and build professional and ethical relationships across all teams
• Interact and communicate with all levels of management and be an integral team player
• Partner with Senior Leadership to identify potential improvements and efficiency opportunities

Basic Qualifications :

1-2 years of related work experience

• Strong working knowledge of finance and accounting
• Excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be inquisitive and solve problems creatively
• Ideal candidates will have excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills, a proven ability to build relationships, and strong business and financial acumen
• Candidates must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of management and be an integral team player
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical as the Director of Finance will often face shifting priorities on multiple assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in the healthcare industry is required, and knowledge of the Medicare Risk Assessment space is a huge plus
• Experience with Accounts Receivables and direct client engagement
• Financial Systems and or Service Costing/Invoicing Tools required – Quickbooks, etc

Required Education :

• Advanced degree in accounting, finance, or economics. A healthcare related degree would be a huge added plus as well
