Transport Planner
Location: Nantwich
Remuneration: £30,000 – £35,000 + Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing logistics business with a strong UK-wide presence. Due to continued expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a busy and supportive transport operation based in a newly refurbished office environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport planning experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a collaborative team.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day coordination of transport operations, ensuring efficient planning and excellent communication across drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning daily outbound loads and backloads
* Coordinating with multiple depots and operational teams
* Handling incoming calls from drivers, customers, and colleagues
* Updating customer portals and transport planning systems
* Maintaining accurate transport and operational records
* Supporting the wider team with additional operational duties when required
About You
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Previous transport planning or transport coordination experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Good IT knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
* A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn
* A valid UK driving licence
Experience using transport management systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
