Role Outline
Reporting directly to the Test Automation Team Leader we are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer who will contribute to the development of a quality test automation suite that can be integrated into CI (Continuous Integration) processes. The Test Automation Team supports various parts of the business:

Skills and Experience – Essential
· Minimum two years’ experience as an Automation Test Engineer.
· Recognised software QA/Test qualification – e.g. BCS ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester.
· Experience of a Requirements, Test Management and Bug Tracking system (e.g. codeBeamer).
· Experience of working with Agile development methodologies – especially scrum.
· Good understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS and a sound appreciation of the DOM.
· Working with modern web-based applications and browsers.
· High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience working with automated testing frameworks.
· Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Strong knowledge of Java programming.
· Hands-on current experience authoring automated test scripts with coverage across UI, back-end integration and database.
· Proficiency in at least one tool from each of the following categories:
o Defect Tracking
o Automated Testing: Selenium Web Driver, BDD using Cucumber and Gherkin notation, JMeter, OWASP Zap, Junit, Saucelabs, TestNG, Postman
o Data: Javafaker
o Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, IE, developer tools
o Database Tools: PostgreSQL, SQL Developer or other query tools
o Other Tools: Jenkins, GIT, Putty, Maven, Fiddler
Skills and Experience – Desirable
