TradableBits Media Inc. Hiring for Full Stack Developer (Software Engineer) at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Tradable Bits is the leading fan-based marketing software platform for music and sports. We’re charting the path to personalized fan experiences for online and live events. Tradable Bits is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer who will collaborate with our engineers, accounts team and enterprise partners.

As an integral part of the development team, you will be responsible for creating code that will be seen by millions of people worldwide. Attention to detail and a passion for well-written code are paramount. You must be a flexible multi-tasker who is comfortable prioritizing and dealing with multiple urgent situations at once. Your development work will be used by many of the world’s largest entertainment brands in the world, meaning you will take pride and ownership of the success of our partners like Live Nation, MLSE, OCESA, Portland Trailblazers, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands- just to name a few.

Responsibilities:
Write high quality code covering everything from database to front-end

Be part of a small, friendly, collaborative development team

Participate in on-site deployments at festivals and arenas, as needed

Requirements:
Solid understanding of the network protocols necessary for web development (HTTP, TLS, TCP).

Understanding of core Unix concepts (threading, processes, memory)

Development experience with scripting languages (Ideal Python, Perl, PHP, Ruby)

Experience collaborating with a team using VCS (Git, Mercurial)

Able to write clean and functional HTML / CSS / Javascript without relying on frameworks

Good knowledge of SQL fundamentals

Takes initiative and manages own workload in a constantly evolving, dynamic environment

Excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to work independently and take ownership of features

BSc in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related required

Minimum one year of experience in Operations

Minimum of two years industry experience

Bonus Points:
Experience with server hardware (i.e. Boot process , Storage configuration, RAID, etc)

Experience working in a startup environment

Sense of humour and irreverence

Experience with Flask, JQuery, Websockets, PostgreSQL
