An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for an Education and Mentoring Coordinator to lead on the further development of the department at Track Academy. Track Academy, an education, mentoring and sports charity that uses sports as a tool is looking for an Education and Mentoring Coordinator who will help embed life skills in young people through education and mentoring and help the organisation grow further.
The organisation
Track Academy is an education, mentoring and sport charity which focuses on life skills and improving the lives of young people through sports. The successful candidate has a passion for sport, children, young people, education and mentoring and will join a talented team of international athletes and coaches, mentors, teachers and volunteers. Collectively these highly motivated people work towards bringing change and helping young people in the borough of Brent to be more than the circumstances they are born into.
The role
In this role you will be required to support and lead the Education and Mentoring Programme of Track Academy. Ideally you have an education or mentoring background and are someone who has the ability to build relationships and engage with children, young adults, teachers and parents to help channel behavioural change and improve lives. You will manage a cohort of mentors and oversee our life skills and holiday programmes by implementing several workshops and initiatives for our members to take part. You will lead on our macro and one-to-one mentoring and have your own mentees with whom you will set goals. You will oversee our tutoring department and homework club. You will work closely with the project coordinators in ensuring that we achieve sustainable outcomes and have a positive impact on our members’ lives.
