Job Summary

Tower Arctic Ltd. is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost Arctic civil constructors, typically acting as a general contractor completing heavy civil and municipal infrastructure projects within Nunavut since 1946. Within our organization is a recently constructed cafeteria and 63-man camp facility to accompany our workforce. Our team is currently seeking a housekeeper to complete our 2023 construction season. This opportunity provides the applicant with a way to experience the Canadian Arctic, while having room to grow and advance in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include ensuring cleanliness of hallways, bathrooms, rooms, and general spaces. Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping the floors as well as washing walls, windows, and handrails. Replacing bedding, linens, toiletries and ensuring the levels of all consumables are replaced when appropriate. Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience. Notify the superiors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Ability to time manage effectively.
• Experience with preparing sleeping quarters as well as cleaning.
• The ability to communicate in English and/or French.
• Organized and consistent.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with all Tower Arctic Ltd. team members, clients, consultants, trades subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and the community.
• Play a supporting role with the head housekeeper.
• Determine when there is a need for additional help.
• Excellent customer service.
• Prioritization and time management skills.

Tower Arctic Ltd. will cover all costs associated with flights, accommodations, and meals.

Salary: $1,700.00-$2,000.00 per week
