Part-Time Educational Academic Advisor

The Educational Academic Advisor provides high level student support services, assisting new and matriculating students from initial enrollment activities through graduation. The successful candidate must be results-oriented, student centric, and have strong communication and listening skills. This part-time position reports to the Lead Academic Advisor and the Provost within the Office of Academic Affairs.

Educational Academic Advisor Responsibilities

· Develop and update degree plans for students

· Provide academic advising appointment times for students as needed

· Evaluate transcripts for credit transfer and equivalent courses

· Contact students via email, phone, and other communication methods.

· Reviews course offerings via the Catalog, handbooks, etc.

· Designs and updates materials for enrollment of returning students

· Other duties as assigned by Lead Academic Advisor

Qualifications

· A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with Master’s degree preferred

· At least two years of related experience

· Results oriented and student-centric

· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills (communication, listening, etc.)

· Team player

· Ability to collaborate with other departments and team members

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Word, EXCEL, etc.

This is a part-time position which works 19 hours per week. This part-time position has no benefits.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $25.29 per hour
