Our Support Office is a large contributor to the ongoing success of the overall network with 100 stores nationally and a large online presence. With Total Tools group turnover in excess of $900 million and an aggressive growth strategy, the finance team is also growing and in need of a financial accountant.

The Role:
The primary purpose of the Financial Accountant is to provide support to the Financial Controller and broader finance team in producing accurate month end reports and ensure smooth operations within the finance function.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Month end reporting (BS/ P&L prep)
- Month end P&L review
- Managing half year and year end audit requirements
- Tax compliance
- Supporting transactional staff
- Deep dive trend analysis on CODB and Margin and providing insights to business
- Assisting Financial Controller with projects and change management within the business
- Developing clear process notes on key accounting procedures.
- IHG Reporting requirements
- Preparation of Management report
- Ad hoc reporting
What will you bring to the role?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce or similar
- CA or CPA commenced/qualified
- Experience with dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel
- A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
- Ability to work with large volumes of data
- Organised, methodical and process-driven
- Strong work ethic, with an ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Excellent time management skills
- Flexible and ability to adapt to continuous change
