An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Total Tools team as an Accounts Officer, based at our Port Melbourne Support Office. This newly created position, due to growth within our Finance Team, will suit an experienced and vibrant accounts payable or receivables specialist. You will have experience working with various stakeholders and are comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

What will you be doing?

• Liaising with suppliers, customers, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure a highly accurate and timely processing of accounts
• Ensuring supplier & customer reconciliations are processed on a timely basis
• Completing daily bank and cash drawer reconciliations
• Preparing the weekly payment run (EFT)
• Reconciling and issuing supplier rebate claims, and following up on overdue accounts
• Reviewing and processing concur expense reimbursements
• Monitoring both the ‘goods received, not invoiced’ and ‘goods in transit’ registers on a weekly basis, working with receiving teams to resolve discrepancies on a weekly basis
• Attending to internal/external accounts enquiries
• Supporting accountants with month-end reconciliations and providing accrual lists

Does this sound like you?

• A recent Finance/Accounting graduate, or an motivated professional looking to expand on your current AP or AR knowledge
• Comfortable working with various internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to build relationships and influence as necessary
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work through competing priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
• Comfortable with technology – intermediate MS Suite skills are a must, with a strong understanding of MS Excel
