Credit Controller/Finance Assistant

Would you like to join a fast-expanding national commercial catering company? We supply, install and maintain commercial catering equipment for the quick service food industry, and we are looking for an experienced Credit Controller/Finance Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities – Credit Controller

• Sending out fortnightly statements to all Customers.
• Liaising with customers at all levels to ensure good working relationships.
• Maintaining and monitoring the Sales Ledger.
• Ensuring the Sales Ledger is always correct.
• Aged debt reporting to senior management
• Managing and minimising aged debt with a proven track record within a control environment/role. .
• All and any other Ad hoc tasks as required as the business need dictates

Responsibilities – Finance Assistant

• Uploading Customer invoices to various customer portals
• Customer Invoicing- Daily
• Resolve Query Invoices quickly and efficiently
• All other adhoc tasks as and when required, as the business need dictates.

Requirements:

• Skills in Excel, Word and Outlook are essential.
• Ability to be well organised and self-disciplined under pressure, a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude are a must.
• Good time management and to be able to work under your own initiative. A good work ethic is essential.
• Ability to provide/create reports and communicate accounting information to non-accounts personnel a must.
• A Flexible approach is a must.
• A “get stuck in attitude is required”
• You must be to build good working relationships across all levels
• Excellent telephone communication and written skills
• Respond professionally within a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills

Salary: depending on experience

Required education:

• AAT qualifications preferred but not essential, at least 2 years work experience within a credit control environment or finance role.
• Experience of Zero & Simpro would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.

Required experience:

• Credit Control: 2 years recent experience
• IT Literate to include good use and understanding of Excel
• Finance assistant experience: 2 years recent experience
• A good all-round basic understanding of accounting.
