Torres & Associates, LLC Hiring for Stormwater/Drainage/H&H Civil Engineer Full Time

A growing engineering firm with offices in College Station, Texas is seeking to hire a full-time professionally licensed Stormwater/Drainage/H&H Project Engineer.

Job Details: $65,000 to $75,000 (or commensurate with experience)

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 am to 5 pm)

Responsibilities. Responsibilities for this position will emphasize watershed hydrology, riverine hydraulics, urban drainage system design, floodplain/floodway analysis, detention pond design, reservoir routing, sheet flow analysis, flood mitigation, and floodplain management. Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Using technical skills to analyze and design water resources engineering and drainage projects;
• Working with a group of engineers in the performance of water resources, drainage, surface water hydrology and hydraulics design related projects;
• Developing understanding and knowledge of frequently used software such as HEC programs, InfoWorks ICM, and similar packages;
• Writing s to document analysis and design;
• Attending meetings with project managers, clients, and other engineers;
• Developing working knowledge and understanding of U.S. design codes and standards;
• Gaining knowledge in the development of construction documents, plans & specifications;
• Carrying out routine engineering tasks under direct supervision;
• Assisting in the analysis of s, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, perform site visits, and review survey data to plan and assemble construction documents;

Minimum Qualifications. Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

• Understanding the concepts of flood control and drainage systems;
• Understanding surveying and basic engineering terminology;
• Obtainment of Bachelor’s engineering degree from an accredited four-year college or university; Masters degree is a plus)
• Professional Engineering licensed or satisfactory passing of the Professional Engineering Exam;
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, regional storm water analysis and planning, drainage analysis and design, FEMA and related flood studies, highway/roadway drainage design, bridge scour analysis, water system analysis and planning and other aspects of water resources engineering is desired;
• Experience with HEC-1/HEC-HMS, HEC-2/HEC-RAS, open channel hydraulics, and hydraulic structures desired;
• A working knowledge of Arc-GIS software, GEOPAK, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is a plus;
• Two references

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
