Casual Research Assistant to assist undertaking research related activies to support the COCA Director in research projects

What’s the job?
Reporting to Ros Cameron, Director, Centre for Organisational Change and Agility (COCA), the Research Assistant will work to provide ongoing research and administrative support to the Research Centre. The Research Assistant focus will be a key member of the Centre for Research, supporting the center, and providing administration, report writing, contributing to publications and undertaking research related to both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, managing data sets in the broad fields of human resource management, organisational behavior and change management.

Day-to-day accountabilities:
  • Perform literature reviews and searches
  • Assist in preparing Ethics Applications
  • Assist in preparing Research reports
  • Coordinate and attend research project meetings
  • Assist in designing qualitative and quantitative research data collection instruments
  • Establish and maintain data bases
  • Assist in writing up the methods sections, and results sections for journal publications

This is a casual contract (approximately 2 days per week) based in Adelaide, Wakefield Campus (preferred) but can be remote.
Who you are
To be successful in this you must have:
  • Minimum qualification requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification and undertaking a Higher Degree Research (MPhil/PhD/DBA) or completed a PHD
  • Expertise in the board fields of management , organisational behaviour and human resource management
  • A capacity for undertaking research tasks such as literature searches, writing literature reviews, assisting in Ethics Applications and writing up research results for publication.
  • Ability to use software to design survey’s and administer them and implement data base solutions for research surveys, cleaning data and data analysis.
  • Ability to conduct focus groups and semi structured interviews, code and analyse qualitative data.
  • High-level technical knowledge of and experience using statistical software (e.g., SPSS), databases such as Mendeley or EndNote and the Microsoft suite of products (e.g., MS Word, Excel)
  • Well-developed communication skills, including academic written skills and oral presentation skills
