Torque Tech Mechanical Hiring for Apprentice Mechanic Full Time

APPRENTICE HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC / MILLWRIGHT

Torque Tech Mechanical is a Grande Prairie owned and operated natural gas compression service provider. We are looking to add to our team of great people who take pride in providing unbeatable customer service with integrity, honesty, reliability, and the best workmanship in the industry. If you are a hard-working individual looking to expand your skills in the industry, or if you are interested in joining the fast-paced gas compression industry, we are actively looking to fill three apprentice positions. While gas compression experience is preferred, individuals with the right attitude and ambition are also valued.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed technicians with troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls and start-ups of natural gas engines, compressors, pumps and power generation equipment.
• Ability to work in remote field locations or at company shop as the task requires.

• Be flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs when overtime is required.

• Be available and participate in the on-call rotation.

• Follow Torque Tech’s safety policies and procedures.

• Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

• Safely operate and maintain company service trucks and tooling.

• Ensure cleanliness of work areas, equipment and tools.

• Be hard-working and motivated with a desire to excel in your trade.

Qualifications:

• Active apprenticeship or mechanical experience would be considered an asset.

• Experience with Waukesha, Caterpillar, and natural gas driven compression would be considered an asset.

• Valid H2S, First Aid level 1, Fall Arrest & Confined Space tickets

• Employee must be able to lift and move heavy equipment, and keep a reasonable work pace.
• Employee must be able to work in all weather conditions.

• Provide a clean class 5 driver’s abstract and be able to pass a drug test.

Salary: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
