Hi – we’re Topaz Labs. We create software that makes it easy to solve imaging problems like denoising, super-resolution, and deconvolution with deep learning. Over a million paid customers (from amateur photographers to major tech companies + movie studios) use our technology, and we’ve been recognized in Fast Company, The Verge, Engadget, Ars Technica, and more.

We’re looking for a Deep Learning Researcher to help us push the state-of-the-art in image and video enhancement. Your work will help solve real problems for hundreds of thousands of photographers, videographers, and graphics designers.

Our next Deep Learning Researcher will:

• Explore and develop new deep learning models to solve common inverse problems in imaging
• Work with the engineering team to integrate models into the product in a low-friction way
• Evaluate customer feedback & improvement ideas to solve edge cases and further improve your models based on real-world usage
• Collaborate with other researchers on the latest literature and techniques
• Have full autonomy to explore new ideas that may help us solve new problems in the future

Our next Deep Learning Researcher will have:

• PhD highly preferred
• Prior key contributor to significant deep learning projects for image manipulation or enhancement
• Significant prior experience with CNNs and other common computer vision network architectures
• 2 years of intensive hands-on experience with TensorFlow or other ML frameworks
• Good understanding of common image processing algorithms
• Proficient in C/C++, OpenCV.
• Well-read on major recent research papers in deep learning for image or video enhancement
