Job Description
Assist the local accounting team in:
- Prepare payment runs
- Customer Invoicing
- Bookkeeping of supplier invoices (including matching of purchase orders against invoices and creating Purchase orders for non-inventory parts) / travel expense reports
- Accounts payable / receivable management (credit control)
- Reconciliations (including intercompany & bank reconciliation)
- Fixed Asset Management
- Assist with process implementation
- Ad hoc projects within the team
- Support office administration where needed
- Supporting Finance Manager in Human Resource Topics
- Participate in various ad hoc project works.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience within a similar role
- Strong focus in progressing within an accounting setting.
- Good accounts knowledge and understanding
- Highly numerate and strong analysis skills.
- High attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- An advocate of quality with a sense for continual improvement
- Organized & a show a proactive approach
- Must be proficient in Excel & MS Office
Desirable Skills
- Currently undertaking or completed formal accounting studies (TAFE, University)
- Pursuit of continuous improvement and streamline processes where required.
- Keeping communication lines open i.e., keep the Finance Manager always updated.
- Working rights in Australia
