Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Operational Risk

Location: Sydney

Type: 12-Month Contract

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a dynamic team at a leading banking institution. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing operational risk and contributing to the enhancement of risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and assess operational risks within the organization.
• Utilize expertise in the 3 lines of defence model to ensure a comprehensive risk management framework.
• Generate and deliver detailed risk s to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
• Work closely with project teams to integrate risk considerations into change initiatives.
• Conduct a thorough analysis of business processes to identify potential risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management to enhance overall risk governance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on operational risk.
• Proven experience in a banking environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the 3 lines of defence model, risk ing, and risk management in change initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. Advanced certifications in risk management would be an advantage.
