New opportunity for a Group Reporting Accountant to join our Group Finance team based at St Kilda Rd, Melbourne.

Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, your key focus will be to provide timely and accurate completion of the monthly Toll consolidated financial statements, prepared in compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Complete monthly consolidated Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement.
• Manage consolidation and other adjustment journals in the Group consolidation system.
• Prepare and review accurate balance sheet net equity reconciliations including resolving reconciling issues in a prompt manner (group investments, share capital, goodwill, retained earnings, minority interest, foreign currency translation reserve).
• Lead the completion of the annual IFRS consolidated financial statements, including the coordination of activities from Divisions/functions and within the Group financial reporting team.
• Lead the completion of Tax Effect Accounting and complete the Group tax disclosure notes for the group accounts.
• Prepare Accounting Matters for Consideration paper for the quarterly Toll Audit & Risk Committee.

As the Group Reporting Accountant, you will possess:

• Minimum 5 years in a similar technical accounting and consolidation role.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards
• Strong experience in consolidation processes
• Concise and accurate technical accounting file notes and Audit & Risk Committee papers
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure and changing environment
• Proficient in consolidation systems
• Tertiary and CA or CPA qualified
