We have an opportunity for a permanent Trainee Assistant Syndicate Accountant to join our Finance department. You will report into the Syndicate Finance Manager and will be responsible for assisting the Syndicate Finance team in the preparation of the financial books and records for the syndicates in a timely and accurate manner to ensure that the Syndicates comply with all reporting requirements, both internal and external, including the production of the Syndicates’ returns with supporting controls.
This role includes responsibilities such as calculation and preparation of key accounting journals for the managed Lloyd’s syndicates, assist in the production and timely submission of all annual and quarterly syndicate regulatory returns including the Quarterly Monitoring Returns (QMA) and Quarterly Solvency Return (QSR) and assist the Syndicate Finance Team in the production of the quarterly analytical reviews on the performance and position of the Syndicates.
The successful candidate will have an honours degree in any degree discipline and be committed to pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or other appropriate qualification). They will also be a proactive team player with a positive attitude.
