Our finance team is looking for a new finance assistant to join our team based out of Blackburn, Lancashire. The key aspect of this role will be to provide data to the wider team on a range of finance information.

You will be working within a team which is responsible for the RSL, corporate services and accountancy teams across the group.

Your key day to day duties as a Finance Assistant in Blackburn, Lancashire will be:

Assist the Business Partner and Finance Officer in the production of information required for monthly management accounts, financial statements and the annual budget.

Assist in the provision of the information required for the consolidation of the group’s financial statements.

Provide supporting schedules as part of the external audit

Reconcile key income and expenditure and balance sheet accounts for which you are responsible, on a monthly basis

The ideal candidate will have the following key skills, experience & knowledge:

Experience of using a nominal ledger.

Ability to operate computerised financial accounting systems.

To have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook

Flexible approach to working hours in order to achieve work demands/priorities

It is not essential to have experience of working in a finance / accounts environment.
