About the role

About you

Responsibilities:

• Creation of Ab2’s CPD offering

• You will utilise your tax skills to pre-empt what learning firms need across a broad range of technical topics
• Creating engaging tax training, providing a learning experience like no other – ensuring Ab2 is known as the tax training destination of choice

• Collaborate with industry experts to partner and deliver innovative learning that gets to the point quickly
• Contribute to the direction and development of digital training programs, including:

• Creation of a 12- month content plan
• Prioritisaton of learning topics, which will add most value to firm across the 12 -months

• Responsible for storyboarding learning module topics and inclusions and working with a course developer to design
• Write engaging content to be included in learning development
• Review learning content with an industry lens whilst providing feedback to content developers
• Face to face training delivery where required
• Complete materials, reviews, and updates within allocated deadlines

• Preempting what firms need to know to keep ahead of the game with industry changes
  
• Monitor industry and regulatory changes, TPB, ATO etc. to inform learning module delivery & roadmap
• Creation of content to keep Accountant’s up to date with industry changes
• Ability to turn complex tax changes and content into engaging, clear & simple messaging which is easily understood across all role levels
• Assist firms with ensuring they understand tax obligations, compliance, reduction of inherent risk and improvement of processes and procedures in a concise and compelling way

• Provide leadership to a small team through agility and prioritization
• Leadership of a small team to create cutting edge learning content

• Ability to think and plan strategically, but able to implement on operational plans
• Ability to inspire and motivate a global team to achieve maximum team performance
• Ability to coach, develop, motivate team members to become the best they can be
• Demonstrated ability to leverage metrics, analytics, and insights to infirm decision making
• Fast, agile, and comfortable with ambiguity; embraces a “speed wins” and “excellence over perfection” approach balanced with the ability to plan and then act

Skills and requirements:

• Has worked at Manager level within firm
• A relevant post graduate qualification (CA or CPA)
• Master’s in taxation (desirable)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Risk mindset, proactively identify and understand industry changes and determine current and future impact to industry to inform module delivery
• Significant experience conducting tax assessments, audits, and projections within different categories of tax with strong knowledge on contemporary tax management legislation and models
• A strong customer experience focus, with excellent communication skills
• Project management skills and ability to meet project quality expectations within schedule commitments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence and executive presence
• Excellent presentation skills, confident in speaking at conferences, virtual events and training others as required
• Ability to effectively engage with and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels of organizations and across functional and geographical lines
• Ability to travel as required
• Good sense of humor
