Hiring for Experienced Biology/Chemistry Tutor

Biology/Chemistry Tutor

An ideal candidate would be a biology or chemistry major with a strong understanding of math. The tutor will be hired as an individual contractor with 1-5 hours of work each week with the potential for more. Currently, the job is fully remote but may require driving depending on the circumstances.

Requirements:

• Completed Bachelors Degree in STEM field
• Ability to teach up to AP Chemistry and AP Biology
• Experience tutoring high school students
• Responsible, punctual, and impeccable communication skills

Preferred:

• More than 2 years of experience teaching high school students
• Past experience working at a prestigious tutoring institution
• Ability to teach up to AP Calc BC
• Deep knowledge of the structure of SAT/ACT problems
• Living in Portland OR and has reliable transportation to drive to the student’s preferred location

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Self-determined schedule

Supplemental Pay:

• Commission pay
