We are looking for a Talent Acquistion Specialist to join our fast paced and established TA team based in our new head office in Watford. Ideally with 3-5 years in recruitment (agency or in-house) you will be responsible for driving the end to end hiring process within the business areas you support. Primarily you will focus on Retail, Loss Prevention, Customer Service, Store Operations in the UK & ROI as well as supporting other areas such as Distribution & Logistics if needed. We are looking for someone who is passionate as we are about the candidates experience and has the ability to partner and build effective relationships quickly. It is key that you can model our employer brand and deliver an experience in line with our values. You will also be able to navigate all the usual recruitment platforms and be able to manage a wide variety / volume of roles. Experience in retail recruitment would be great but not essential.
Day to day responsibilities include:
With the Talent Acquisition Manager determine the appropriate channel/media to use for roles, also working with the Researcher to identify appropriate additional channels if required e.g. niche job boards or print media
Using standard templates, draft appropriate advert copy to effectively attract & engage the target market candidates.
Effectively search the TJX, and job board CV databases to approach suitable candidates when required
Maximise the potential of appropriate social media channels to such as Linkedin to build and maintain professional networks to drive candidates directly to TJX, obtain referrals as well to grow talent pools and pipeline
Directly approach or headhunt identified candidates through all appropriate channels
Work to deliver further sourcing activities when required such as identifying target companies or candidates, market research and talent mapping
Manage wider and targeted campaigns when required
Ensure each candidate experience is highly positive with every candidate being responded to within agreed SLA timeframes at each stage of the process
Receive and review applications. Qualify candidates using the appropriate screening and in-depth questioning techniques for the role. Generally this will mostly be completed through a structured telephone screening process
Conduct 1:1 interviews when required. Able to interview to a senior level
Be able to answer effectively the candidate’s queries and questions on the role, TJX and company benefits available
Engage the candidate with TJX and the role by emphasising the company values and development opportunities available
If required, work with the Manager of Talent Acquisition and Account Manager to identify and appropriate Agency partner to assign to a role
Fully brief the Agency or Agencies identified and screen submitted candidates’ CVs. Manage Agency candidates within the process
Create a qualified and relevant short-list for the Hiring Manager of the best possible candidates for each role within SLA timeframes. Able to challenge constructively Hiring Manage on CV or interview feedback if required
Effectively brief the candidate about the interview process, responsibilities, package and benefits of the role in question.
Liaise with the Talent Acquisition Admin team to organise and manage the booking of candidate interviews
Collect the Candidate’s feedback from any interview they attend and inform them of the outcome when confirmed with the Hiring Manager
Work with the Reward team and Talent Acquisition Account Manager to finalise the offer details & process, making a verbal offer to the candidate if required. Manage the negotiation of salary and package with the candidate if required
Your role reports in the Talent Acquisition Manager for Retail in the UK & ROI and there is the opportunity to support on wider projects across the TA Team.
