ICT Helpdesk Technician

We are currently seeking a Helpdesk Technician to provide support for a large Government School based in Wodonga.

This role will give you the opportunity to work within a dynamic team providing support for a range of leading edge technologies including, Server, Network, Storage, Desktop, Mobile devices and more.

The Role

You will be working within an existing IT support team as an ICT Support Technician, your role will be responsible for providing 1st level technical support to staff and students, logging support requests with vendors, tracking procurement and the allocation of assets.

This is a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, as such only individuals that have great verbal and written communication skills and a desire to learn on the job should apply.

Responsibilities:

• Support the 1-1 student Notebook program, including diagnosing and logging of warranty and insurance jobs
• Setup and configuration of desktops, notebooks and mobile devices for new and existing staff and students.
• Use the IT Service Desk ticketing system to monitor and act on lodged tickets in a timely manner.
• Provide support with networking and server equipment.
• Contribute to the development of documentation for reference by end users and IT Staff.

Skills and Experience:

• Highly effective communication, interpersonal and planning skills, particularly as they relate to the delivery of quality customer service to our all of customers (staff, students and parents).
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to provide remote and onsite support.
• Able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn for senior technicians.
• Driver License and the ability to travel and work at remote sites

A position is available for immediate start to the right individual. Previous helpdesk experience is not a requirement but is an advantage.

The successful candidate will work full time for 12 months with options to further their career within the school after this time.
