Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Summary:

Source candidates through various channels, plan interview and selection procedures, and host career events. Develop recruiting strategies and nurture relationships with potential hires. Work with hiring managers to understand the recruitment needs and selection criteria. Use technology and social media, as well as job fairs to locate, screen, and interview candidates.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
• Proactive in sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, social media, and other sources.
• Collaborate with hiring manager to identify and draft detailed hiring criteria and plan.
• Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies, including direct recruiting, open house gatherings, job fairs, and internet recruiting, based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the Company.
• Post positions on Company website and advertises positions.
• Negotiate and manage external resources used for recruiting (i.e., researchers, agencies, internet service companies etc.).
• Initiate and manage relationships with outside agencies regarding sourcing candidates.
• Screen applications and identifies qualified candidates.
• Schedule interviews with managers, and other stakeholders.
• Coach hiring managers on preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection processes.
• Research, identify, and recommend salary ranges for open positions.
• Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, recommend salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
• Create and extend offers to candidates, conduct reference checks, manage background, and drug process.
• Assist with the onboarding and orientation process, i.e., referring new hire to the appropriate contact for benefits, complaint/issue resolution etc.
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse background and organizational levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, required.
• 5 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is required.
• At least two years sourcing candidates for an outside agency.
• Recruiting experience in the construction industry hiring both field and office personnel is required.
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
• Experience recruiting data center personnel is preferred or willingness to learn is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
• Proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
• Ability to travel.
