The Role

In this role you’ll be helping to change the world through science and technology apprenticeships. With your obsession for spotting potential, you’ll seek out and find the most amazing talent in the market to become fearless apprentices, who have the potential to develop into awesome longer-term employees within businesses.

In your role you’ll be responsible for the following key areas:

Proactively seeking and spotting hungry go getters

Gone are the days of advertising, sitting back and waiting for candidates to come to you. You’ll tenaciously and impatiently seek out candidates to fill apprenticeship vacancies for our businesses. Thinking ‘outside the box’ and innovating your recruitment campaigns, to try different ways to seek out and spot talent to fill vacancies. You’ll thrive on networking, speaking, and writing, to be visible – challenging misconceptions to prove to people an apprenticeship can kick-start a rewarding career. Creating strategic partnerships and building communities to generate excitement, enthusiasm, and engagement for being a Tiro apprentice will be fundamental to your success.

Thoughtful Recruitment

You’ll be the owner of full-cycle recruitment processes for allocated apprenticeship vacancies, ensuring a personable and pro-active approach – taking time to understand what really makes our apprentices tick. Tiro apprentices have to be strong, know what they want and be determined to get it. You’ll actively seek and champion talent that can positively contribute to businesses, who don’t ‘tick all the boxes’ and have huge potential to grow and develop – we’re altogether more interested in attitude and aptitude. Working to ‘catch people in, not out’, with the ability to manage volume recruitment, you’ll support candidates to shine throughout the process providing outrageous levels of service to our candidates, so they have an experience that WOWS!

Setting our apprentices up for success

You’ll ensure systems are kept up to date and all the right checks/information are completed to guarantee a seamless handover to our Tiro learning delivery team so our apprentices get off to a flying start!

X-Team Collaboration

You’re not simply a Talent Resourcer or only part of the Resourcing Team, you’re part of the wider Tiro team, so you won’t be constrained by your job title. You’ll be expected to get involved in projects across Tiro and dedicate time to developing your craft, through continuous professional development.

About You To deliver in this role you’ll need to:

• Be curious and hungry to learn – you need to show your ‘nerdiness’ by asking questions, looking up information, finding things out and initiating conversations with others to learn more

• Love to collaborate with people, get a kick out of working as part of a team and be awesome at working and communicating effectively with others, across all functions and levels, even at times when things are going wrong!

• Thrive on talking to and influencing people. You’ll be able to seek out, develop and nurture new and existing relationships, to create long-term connections (even friends) with a diverse range of people, utilizing the best communication methods to deliver outrageous service, build communities and strategic partnerships

• Be trusted to work autonomously and able to take self-responsibility for figuring out the best way to deliver on your responsibilities, smashing targets and expectations

• Have super awesome organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks. You’ll need to be able to manage your own time and ways of working to deliver stellar performance

• Not be afraid of IT. You’ll need to be able to find your way around Zoom, Microsoft Office Packages and Social Media channels. You’ll need to be eager to learn, embrace and use technology, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Job Boards and our Quick Base System. You’ll also need the ability to be just as comfortable picking up the phone and communicating with people face to face!

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Salary: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
