Basic Scope & Primary Objectives
This role is key to the development of our Finance function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Finance Business Partner is crucial in delivering key monthly reporting requirements to internal stakeholders that will enable them to successfully execute the company strategy. It will also require you to roll up your sleeves and assist with month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities
· Responsibility for delivering the results and reporting for our recently acquired US-based business (will require some non-UK hours to be worked), including working with their CEO to ensure that full Finance support is provided.
· Manage the month-end process, driving the team to deliver within five working days.
· Conducting the initial review of the monthly Group P&L for variances and highlighting where necessary.
· Responsibility for sales order fulfilment for transactional products and reviewing and posting monthly revenue recognition journals.
· Responsibility for the review of monthly subscription revenues to ensure any key variances are noted and where required, investigated and corrected.
· Analyse and report monthly results, variances and trends to internal stakeholders and as part of the Board reporting.
· Manage the budget and forecasting processes for the Group’s costs and feeding these into the FP&A Manager.
· Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliation reviews and ensure that any adjustments are made where necessary.
· Management and development of two direct reports and one indirect report.
· Working with senior managers on projects, including cost reductions and revenue expansion.
· Build and develop strong relationships with both finance and non-finance staff across the business.
· Assistance with the annual audit, accounting under UK GAAP / FRS 102.
· Ad-hoc analysis to support internal stakeholders.
· Working with the team to identifying and rollout process improvements, creating efficiencies where possible.
· Ad-hoc requirements around management accounts and month-end.
Person Specification
Essential Skills/Qualifications
· Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
· 4+ years post qualified experience.
· Previously held a Senior Finance Business partner role.
· Management of subscription-based revenues including contract reviews and revenue recognition analysis.
· Proven experience of developing solid relationships with key stakeholders and being able to influence decision making, including challenging stakeholders where necessary.
· Excellent analytical skills and experience in querying and analysing data as well as drawing conclusions on the bigger picture and how that can impact commercial decision making.
· Be a clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
· Process driven with meticulous attention to detail.
· Experience designing and implementing best practice processes.
· Working to deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
· Be able to hit the ground running with minimal assistance.
