Timber Ridge School Hiring for Teachers Needed – Math and Science Job at Winchester, VA Full Time

Timber Ridge School is a 12-month residential treatment center licensed and fully approved by the Virginia Dept. of Education for adolescent boys experiencing emotional difficulties and other disabilities. Teach high school students in the subject areas of Science or Math. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates a program of instruction to include the selection of instructional materials, classroom management, and progress evaluations. Advises residential staff with regard to individual student learning needs and methods or techniques to meet these needs as requested. Participates in the overall assessment of each student’s needs, program, and progress with residential and clinical staff.

Bachelor’s degree required with certification, or eligibility for certification, as a teacher in Virginia and endorsement or eligibility for endorsement in Secondary Science/Biology or Earth Science, Secondary Math, or Special Education-general curriculum. Experience in teaching preferred. Additional compensation potential for second endorsement in either content area or Special Education when added. Primary hours are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Mon-Fri.
