Job Description:

Work for a small systems integrator that stays on the leading edge in Control Technology and Data Integration. We have created a relaxed and flexible culture. We are looking for an individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant at our location in Morrison, Colorado. The main responsibility for the accounting assistant would be Accounts Payable and various other duties in order to meet the customer, vendor and company needs.

Responsibilities:

• Print out invoices that are emailed and id to job or stock / same for mailed invoices
• Match invoices to pack lists and PO -enter into Sage 100
• Check pricing between PO and invoice – give Purchasing an invoice copy if there is a significant difference
• Review pack lists and PO’s for dates – contact Vendors for invoices if they are approaching 30 days out
• Request POD on invoices without a pack list and on drop-ship orders
• Answer email requests for payment status on Vendor invoices
• Review statements / request any missing invoices listed / Id any credits listed and request credit memo
• Check credit file, contact Vendor for credits not received
• Enter New Vendor information in Sage and Outlook
• Send credit information as requested and keep standard credit app updated
• Maintain Tax Exemption with Vendors
• Request Certificates of Insurance when needed
• Stay on top of Motorola, request invoices for old pack lists

Additional responsibilities * Collections / Review Dashboard for Past Due Receivables over 14 days

• Call or email customer about past due invoices and follow up as required
• Negotiate fees on Trash pickup, Office Drinking Water Services, Telephone / Internet Accounts, credit card processing
• Help with answering very busy phones
• Other accounting functions as needed

Position Requirements

• Associates or higher degree required
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and overall accounting functions
• Have strong computer experience, customer service and interpersonal skills
• SAGE 100 experience a big plus!
• Working Knowledge of MS office package
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
