The Recruiter is an integral position within the Human Resources Department. The Recruiter will report to the Vice President of Human Resources. This position is responsible for recruiting for all positions within the agency. In addition, he/she will assist the Vice President in all Human Resource functions, including, but not limited to: recruitment, interviewing, hiring, systems organization and other Human Resource functions as they occur. This position is critical to ensuring TILL’s future ability to attract and retain the best employees through growing a strong talent pipeline from schools, retirees and other professionals who want to make a difference thru a career in Human Services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Be familiar with all vacancies within the agency and the available schedules.
Be confident in delivering effective oral presentations.
Responsible for designing and implementing a recruiting strategy.
Design recruitment materials and disseminate to appropriate sources.
Recruit candidates by using databases and social media.
Develop academic contacts at all levels of education, assess applicants’ and match to the positions needed.
Conduct data analysis of recruitment efforts to determine future strategy and promote TILL’s reputations as “best place to work”.
Possess knowledge of each department’s individual needs.
Assist employees during Benefit open enrollment period.
Attend required trainings and supervision meetings.
Assist the Vice President of Human Resources in other projects as deemed appropriate and as time allows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA preferred. Two years’ experience in Human Services or related field. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is strongly preferred. Proficient computer skills required. A current driver’s license and a car are required. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Excellent telephone and strong organizational skills required. Should possess a dynamic, outgoing personality to develop new areas of marketing for the next generation of human service professionals. .Ease in explaining the mission of human services and the satisfaction in helping others. Familiarity with use of social media to attract millennials. Practical experience with selection methods, i.e. (phone interviewing, reference checking). Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems. Exp. in screening and assessing candidates preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personable and charismatic. Confident and insightful in assessing potential talent. Independent, innovative, committed and relentless.
