As the Logistics Training Specialist you will be responsible for training all new and existing employees in the safe operation of all equipment and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) in all areas of the Bilstein Logistics Center (BLC). Working out of our new state-of-the-art climate-controlled warehouse, you will ensure that all job specific training for the BLC has been completed and certified assessing the skill level and readiness of an employee to safely operate various forklifts throughout the warehouse. s up through a dual matrixed organization within Logistics as well as the Learning and Development Department and will be responsible for helping employees prepare for success. Will work with the Learning & Development Manager to improve training techniques, position requirements and equipment knowledge. Additionally, the Training Specialist will enforce safety values, perform safety observations and engage in all OSHA recommendations regarding safety in the BLC.
• Develops, schedules and delivers training programs at the required duration, quality, quantity and effectiveness to include new hires and more experienced BLC employees. Adjusts resources and time commitments as necessary to ensure a fully trained staff at all times and on all shifts. Focus is to be on initial new hire onboarding as initial training is key to performance and retention and the reduction of safety incidences.• Drive a structured daily and weekly training plan using proper tracking tools to monitor and validate compliance with our training program requirements. Address deficiencies and risks with logistics management to secure proper resources and alignment with training demands.• Engage regularly and directly with new hires on their progress and the effectiveness of the training they are receiving. Tailor training methods and frequency to optimize opportunities for success for each individual.• Review new hire performance weekly with logistics management and devise a plan to address under-performing employees including additional methods of observations, further training, and regular check-points during the week to evaluate progress.• Ensure all training guides, materials, videos, job aides, and other means of communication for training purposes are readily available and in active use. Provide input into the refinement and improvement of warehouse training programs over time. • Partnering with the Occupational Safety & Health Department, develop and maintain safety training program that meet OSHA regulations with regards to material handling equipment operation. Foster/develop a culture where safety is ingrained as a core value with all employees, everyone believes zero is achievable, everyone is actively engaged in performing their work in a safe manner, everyone actively interacts with co-workers to prevent at-risk behaviors.• Maintain all training content and records through use of the Learning Management System (LMS).• Establish a training program on ergonomics with a focus on proper lifting and movement techniques, injury preventions, etc.• Maintain detailed knowledge of preferred methods for each job function and overall workflow in the BLC.• Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in teaching, Human Resources, instructional design or related field preferred OR Possesses and demonstrates the proven ability to facilitate training with a compelling, confident personal presence and style. • Demonstrates in depth knowledge of training techniques and individual learning styles with an understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt delivery/training style as needed (for example: Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods: in-classroom training and e-learning and knowledge of various eLearn tools & video tutorials software) • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft 360 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and preferred knowledge in Microsoft 360: Forms, Power Automate, SharePoint, and SharePoint lists. • Ability to organize and prioritize projects to adapt to changing business needs, using strong time management skills. • Reliable in meeting commitments and deadlines. • Excellent decision making and organizational skills. • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics primarily based in automotive manufacturing environments and warehouse. • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations as it relates to material handling equipment. • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively and convey communications clearly and concisely with diverse groups of people, including cross-functional teams in multiple locations. Must be a good listener. • Must be able to learn and operate the current machinery and any new machinery and have the ability to train associates on operating the machinery in a safe and efficient manner. • Become proficient in the operation of AGV’s to train others on how to adjust and get each back on line when they are down or stuck. • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with multiple and shifting priorities. • Comfortable and able to work with a diverse employee population.
