Three Points Academy Hiring for Special Education Teacher – Part-time/Full-time at Siler City, NC Full Time

Three Points Academy has openings for certified Special Education teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. Special Education teachers with content specialty endorsements are especially needed.

Many of our girls have experienced complex trauma and they struggle emotionally, socially and behaviorally, so we are looking for teachers with great classroom management skills, who are firm but flexible and fun, creative and caring, patient and playful. Our special education teachers may teach small groups, using face-to-face methods or provide direct assistance to students. Special education teachers may co-teach and/or advise teachers how to best serve the students, participate in IEP team meetings, conduct progress monitoring, assess students, generate reports, communicate with parents, and participate in Treatment Team meetings.

The school day runs from 10:30-6:00 and the typical calendar includes 229 days including a summer session. Please send resume, with references, and three recommendation letters.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, North Carolina Special Education K-12 License and effective teaching experience. ‘

Compensation: Full-time teacher salaries are between 40,000-50,000 depending on experience and expertise. Full-time teachers’ benefits include health insurance, 401K, paid holidays and PTO which accrues after 90 days.Part-time teacher salary TBD.
