Three Bear Lodge Hiring for Assistant Restaurant Manager at West Yellowstone, Montana Full Time

Three Bear Restaurant, in West Yellowstone, Montana is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager that is strong in supervisory skills and has the background to provide depth and continuity in this already prestigious Restaurant.

Three Bear Lodge & Restaurant is one of the most well-known businesses in West Yellowstone, Montana.  Since the early 1930s, Three Bear has grown to accommodate both the locals and the visitors to Yellowstone National Park.  As a seasonal business, the restaurant is closed for about 3 months (mid-March through April, and then again November through mid-December) during which time a relaxed working environment would include cleaning and other projects, future planning and recruitment, and a time when vacations can be taken.

West Yellowstone has a resident population of about 1,200 people with a medical clinic, public school and library.  West Yellowstone has long winters with lots of snow.  While most things are available in town, the larger shopping areas are Bozeman – 90 miles, Rexburg – 84 miles and Idaho Falls – 110 miles.  The roads are well maintained for winter driving. Situated at the West Gate of Yellowstone, the area is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream!  Recreate when not working by fly-fishing, hiking and camping, snowmobiling, skiing, and a long list of other activities. 

Salary is above average and DOE.

Benefits include insurance, retirement plan, paid vacation, and employee meal plan.  Privileges are available on the company-owned snowmobile rentals, snowcoach and summer van tours, and hotel rooms. 

Three Bear Restaurant can seat 125 people, is well maintained with an elegant rustic log décor.  It also includes an intimate lounge with a full bar.  The kitchen includes a 3-person line including broiler, grill and deep fry stations. As a seasonal restaurant, summer is our high volume season (May-Oct).  We also have a solid winter season (Dec 15 – March 15).  We are closed for about 3 months of the year.  Management positions are year-round.

Employee housing is available, but not required.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible to assist the Restaurant Manager in all functions of the restaurant.

All facets of restaurant management are desired, but not required.  Our biggest desire is for a high-caliber individual with a strong personality and honest character to help lead our restaurant.  The ability to motivate and develop staff through example and respective training is a must!
