Thomson Reuters Hiring for Editor, Finance and Markets Breaking News, Europe Job at London, England Full Time

Reuters is looking for a strong journalist to lead its finance and markets breaking news team in Europe. The breaking news team is at the heart of the financial industry and financial markets team.

The team handles the daily news file, from snaps to market moves and updates, as well as stories aimed at media customers and consumers. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets and the industry and experience with real-time news.

As our Editor, Finance and Markets Breaking News, Europe, you will:

• Be based in London and manage a dedicated team of breaking news reporters

• Work closely with finance and markets colleagues in the broader team

• Liaise closely with other bureaus

• Report to the global breaking news editor for the finance and markets team

To be our Editor, Finance and Markets Breaking News, Europe you are likely to have:

• The appetite to thrive in a breaking news environment and geek out on market processes and dynamics.

• Deep understanding of financial markets, ideally across asset classes

• A strong work ethic, team spirit and excellent organization skills

• Excellent writing and editing skills

• An understanding of Reuters systems and processes and ideas to improve them would be an advantage
