Thompson Trucking Inc Hiring for Dispatcher at Quincy, IL Full Time

The right candidate will be able to supervise and communicate dispatch assignments to drivers in a timely manner to ensure productivity, assign orders to drivers to meet customer requirements, effectively communicate with customers and drivers to resolve logistics and service issues. Enforce company policies and procedures.

About the Role:

· Provide excellent customer service

· Develop and maintain relationships with customers and drivers

· Negotiate shipping details and service with customers and carriers

· Execution of pickup and delivery for every customer shipment

· Data entry and maintenance of files and records

· Supervise a group of drivers

· Prepares daily work and run schedules for drivers

· Various administrative duties

Desired Qualifications:

· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and emphasis on timeliness

· Ability to handle fast-paced work environment with a “can do” attitude

· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

· Strength in multi-tasking and problem-solving

· Superior customer service skills

· Highly organized with exceptional time management capabilities

· Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation

· Great supervision and communication skills

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Maps

Pay: $40,000 – $52,000 per year (paid weekly)
