In this position you will have the opportunity to make an impact by performing a variety of accounting needs for the firm’s clients. Candidates who are eager to learn, able to prioritize projects, collaborate with others, learn new technologies and communicate with clients will thrive in this position.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Data entry into accounting systems
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Preparation of sales tax returns
• Record and reconcile payroll transactions
• Assist with month-end and year-end close process
• Preparation of Federal, state and local payroll returns
• Preparation of personal property returns and business licenses
• Preparation of year-end 1099s
• Provide general QB support to clients
• Identifying omissions and preparing requests to clients for additional/missing information
• Professional interaction with clients

Qualified candidates will:

• Have 1+ years of relevant experience
• Be detail-oriented
• Be able to identify omissions and prepare requests
• Possess strong computer skills, including MS Office, QuickBooks and QuickBooks online
• Understand and respect client confidentiality
• Be able to work with a team, while also being able to work independently
• Enjoy learning new things and growing professionally
• QuickBooks certification a plus
