Thompson First Group Hiring for Logistics Specialist at Greenville, NC Full Time

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Logistics Specialist for a local client in Greenville, NC. Candidates who have a background working within a logistics role at a manufacturing company are encouraged to apply.

Job Description:

• In depth knowledge of warehouse operations and keeps track of all inventory in each warehouse.
• Knowledge of various inventory systems.
• Negotiate shipping prices.
• Knowledge of Commercial Shipping activities and related terms.
• Familiarity with factory production and production scheduling
• Send shipping request orders to appropriate warehouse.
• Keep inventory current.
• All general dealing with warehouses.
• On date of delivery, make sure the customer receives product from freight line.
• Attach freight bills to shipping/invoice request form, and then give to accounting.
• Deal with problems and company policies with all warehouses.
• File damage s (with pictures) for needed offices / entities.
• Take care of all imports and exports for the U.S.
• Reconcile inventory at the end of the month with accounting.
• Make sure all orders have received freight bills for the end of the month reconciliation.
• Correspond all rerated international office, freight forwards, and custom brokers for every import/export.
• Reconcile inventory with warehouse at the end of the month.
• Along with accounting, correct mistakes on freight bills, and mistakes that were made when ordering.
• Enters information into computer to maintain inventory, shipping, and other records.
• Determines the most cost effective method of shipment.
• Direct monthly production meeting for inventory planning needs.
• Maintains inventory of products in warehouse.
• Stay informed on current sales activities.
• Drive Forklift when needed
• Help team free load containers

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
