Thomas Thor Associates Looking for Civil Engineer at Bristol Full Time

Our client, a global leader in nuclear technology are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join one of the biggest civil engineering projects in the world and act towards enhancing the company footprint in the UK. You’ll report to the Civils Team Lead and be responsible for modifying and adapting designs, substantiating the adapted design of the building reinforced concrete structures on the project. The Civil Engineer will be supported by a group of detailed designers and work closely with the Client and Tier 1 Civils Contractor.

Main Activities

As part of the Civil team, the engineer will assist in:

• Modifying reinforced concrete structure designs compliant with the ETC-C, other relevant codes
• Maintaining QA procedures in delivering the CW design
• Working with the CAD designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models
• Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures
• Liaising with colleagues internationally
